Smart Protect is a smart app that protects your device against thieves and intruders. It uses the front camera to silently take a photo when someone tries to unlock your phone with the wrong code.
The intruder's photo is sent via email along with with the GPS location without him knowing.
My phone was stolen. What should I do?
We do not have access to your phone, so please do not ask us to locate your phone if it is lost or stolen.
- Check your inbox for a Smart Protect email. If you purchased Smart Protect Premium, you have a much better chance of receiving the email due to the additional features.
- Try using Android Device Manager to locate your phone. It might be too late if the thief has already turned it off or switched SIM cards.
Upon receiving the Smart Protect email, contact your local police station and local newspaper with the photo. Hopefully someone in your community will recognize the person in the photo.
Why am I still not receiving any emails?
Your email provider may be delivering them to your Spam folder. Be sure to check this folder and mark emails as Not Spam so they are delivered to your inbox. Alternatively, try a different email address.
What if I already purchased the premium version?
If our app isn't recognizing a previous purchase, make sure you're signed in to the same Play Store account you originally purchased Smart Protect with. You can also try to uninstall our app and install it again.
How do I uninstall the Smart Protect App?
- Open the Smart Protect app.
- Select the menu located at the top right, now select uninstall.
- In the GENERAL tab, slide to help, tap uninstall Smart Protect.
